Abstract/Summary

In August 2015, KDK Archaeology Ltd carried out an Archaeological Strip, Map and Sample Excavation at the Market Harborough Golf Club, which is partially located on the Little Oxendon deserted medieval village, a Scheduled Ancient Monument. The footprint of a swale located near the 2nd tee was stripped. No archaeological features or artefacts were encountered. Although intended to be part of a wider programme of works to deal with drainage issues on the site, this investigation became a stand alone excercise.
