Abstract/Summary
An assessment of the nature, extent and probable date of historic fabric revealed in the north-western corner of Rushton Hall, Northamptonshire was carried out by ULAS on the 20th October 2017. The client would like to create an opening in one of the walls, which is a Grade I listed building. The aim of the survey was to assess the impact of this proposal on any fabric of architectural or historic importance. The conclusion of the assessment is that there is relatively recent fabric in the area of the proposed opening, and as long as the proposed work is kept within the area of recent fabric, it should have little detrimental effect on the building as a whole.
