Abstract/Summary
MOLA was commissioned by Breedon Southern Ltd to carry out archaeological trial trenching on Phase 1E at Earls Barton Spinney Quarry, Earls Barton, Northamptonshire, prior to proposed quarrying activity on site. Nineteen trenches were excavated revealing a series of ditchesspread across the site in varying directions, most of which were shallow and undated. The densest remains were encountered in the north-west part of the evaluation area decreasing to the south and west.
