Abstract/Summary

An historic building survey (Level 2) was undertaken on the 14th November 2018 of The Wash House, Fineshade Abbey, Fineshade, Northamptonshire, NN17 3BA, henceforth called the site. The survey comprised of the written description and photographic recording of the building, making use of survey drawings independently commissioned by the client. The survey concluded that the building originally functioned as a kitchen for the Manor House of 1749 but had subsequently been altered/extended in the early 19th century to accommodate its use as a wash house or laundry building.
