Abstract/Summary

A Historic Building Survey of a barn at Purlieu Farm, Thornby Rd, Naseby, Northamptonshire SP687775 was carried out by the University of Leicester Archaeological Services (ULAS) in April 2018 in advance of conversion to residential use. The building is likely to have started life in the later nineteenth century as a cart shed. In the 1970s the first floor granary was converted into a museum commemorating the Battle of Naseby (1645) which was fought just to the north-west of the village. The report and archive will be deposited under ENN1090576
