Abstract/Summary

An archaeological investigation comprising a strip, map ad sample excavation was undertaken prior to a solar farm development on lan off Horton Road, Brafield on the Green. The site lay in an archaeologically sensitive area, Iron Age and Roman sites having been found in the vicinity. A prior geophysical survey had identified a possible encosure near the centre of the site. Subsequent trial trenching revealed ditches of this encosure and indicated it was of possible Iron Age date.
