Abstract/Summary

Proposals have been made to widen a small bridge over a channel of the River Nene close to Yarwell Mill in the north-eastern extremity of Northamptonshire. Although the bridge is not listed the adjacent mid-19th century mill is. The bridge itself was probably built in the third quarter of the 19th century and is of sufficient interest in heritage terms to be considered a nondesignated heritage asset. This report and survey was commissioned as a condition of the planning permission granted to widen the bridge.
