Abstract/Summary
The Archaeological Observation, Investigation, Recording, Analysis and Publication of Works at Latimer Arts College, Barton Seagrave, Leicestershire, consisted of the monitoring of groundworks associated with construction of a sports hall and an all-weather sports pitch. The former produced no indications of archaeology. A small cluster of archaeological features of likely late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age (Beaker) date were, however, encountered during machine stripping associated with construction of the sports pitch. The recovery of burnt wattle and daub material and lithic material suggests domestic occupation in close proximity. Environmental samples of fills from these features produced no useful results. The report will be archived under Accession Number ENN109233.
