Abstract/Summary

An archaeological evaluation was carried out by University of Leicester Archaeological Services on land south of Greenway, Eastcote, Northamptonshire (SP 68151 54068), to provide preliminary indication of any heritage assets. The four trenches revelled remnants of medieval furrows, a series of postmedieval features and a large quarry pit. Much of the pottery found reflected a late 18th century + date for the activity although hints at earlier occupation came from several 17th century wares and a small amount of late medieval pottery. A bone pin, possibly of medieval date, was also recovered. The archive for the work will be deposited with Northamptonshire Museums with accession number ENN 109949.
