Description

{1} An archaeological evaluation carried out by ULAS in the summer of 2020 consisted of four trial trenches. The work revealed remnants of medieval furrows, a series of post-medieval features and a large quarry pit. Much of the pottery found reflected a late 18th century + date for the activity although hints at the earlier occupation came from several 17th century wares and a small amount of late medieval pottery. A bone pin, possibly of medieval date, was also recovered.
