Abstract/Summary
This was a Trial Trench evaluation over two phases comprising 78 trenches over a wide area located close to the site of Edgcote Roman Villa. Principal finds comprised a plethora of features dating to the late Iro3rdn Age including postholes ditches and gullies, ring ditches, enclosures possible and possible roundhouses indicative of settlement. To the east of the site of the Roman Villa were late Roman c 3rd to 4th century ditches and pitting and structural remains including stone surfaces, a wall, a foundation and a stone lined well.
