Abstract/Summary

This collection comprises a fieldwork report and site photographs from archaeological works undertaken by MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology) on land north of The Red Lion, Watling Street East, Foster's Booth, Northamptonshire between 2019 and 2020, prior to the construction of a row of three terrace houses. An initial visit comprised three hand-dug test-pits one of which contained a thin, dark organic layer. A second visit was undertaken during the excavation of the footings which revealed a probable pit containing similar dark and organic matter as recorded in the test-pit. No other features or finds were present.
