Abstract/Summary
An archaeological evaluation, involving the excavation of two trial trenches, was carried out on behalf of NS Projects Heritage Consulting in advance of residential development. The trenches were focussed on a low earthwork bank thought likely to have been a medieval or post-medieval plough headland. The earthwork was recorded in both trenches as a sequence of layers without any obvious cuts or dumps thereby confirming its likely development at the point where non reversible ploughs were turned around. No other significant archaeological features were present.
