Abstract/Summary
In July 2021 KDK Archaeology Ltd undertook a programme of Observation and Recording at St Denys Church, Church Lane, Cold Ashby, Northamptonshire in order to fulfil the requirements of Conditions 2 & 3 of the Planning Consent and a Faculty of the Diocese of Peterborough. The dry stone wall along the footpath was removed and the footing trench for the new wall was excavated under the archaeological supervision. A concrete slab was removed adjoining the church wall revealing modern backfill material underlying it. No finds or features of archaeological interest were identified during the project.
