Abstract/Summary

An archaeological trial trench evaluation was undertaken in advance of the installation of a new reinforcement water main running from the existing reservoirs east of Hannington, in a southerly direction to within the Overstone Leys development area, Northamptonshire. The results from the archaeological evaluation trial trenching recorded several ditches and one pit-like feature along the central portion of the pipeline route that have been interpreted as representing possible settlement activity dating to the Iron Age period.
