Abstract/Summary
Border Archaeology (BA) was instructed by Rupert Beak and Jantiene Sobry; Grant Straghan and Tom Atkinson (the ‘Clients’) to carry out Archaeological Observation (AO) of groundworks for the construction of three properties, including basements, on Plots 1-3 at Aynho Park Corner Aynho Northamptonshire OX17 3BQ (Planning Refs. S/2015/0871/MAF, S/2019/0521/MAF). This report details the results of the archaeological work carried out on Plot 2 (NGR: SP 52124 33166 - approx. centre), for which two soakaways, a bioseptic tank pit and a series of drainage trenches were excavated, along with the foundation trenches for the footprint of the property itself. No features of archaeological significance were identified.
