Abstract/Summary

An archaeological evaluation was carried out by University of Leicester Archaeological Services on land at Desborough Grange, Desborough, Northamptonshire (NGR: SP 80540 84440). The work was undertaken in advance of a proposed residential development. Twenty one evaluation trenches were excavated in the north and north-west fields within the development site. Most of the trenches were negative for archaeological features. Trenches 2, 8 and 9 located in the northern field contained post-medieval field boundaries. In the north-west fields, furrows were visible in some of the trenches and a natural hollow was observed within Trench 13.
