Abstract/Summary
A Level 2 historic building survey of a farmhouse and associated agricultural buildings was carried out at Manor Farm, 14 Deenethorpe Lane, Deenethorpe, northamptonshire. The work was commissioned by The Brudenell Estate from University of Leicester Archaeological Services (ULAS) in advance of proposals to refurbish and extend the farmhouse and convert the agricultural buildings for domestic uses. The site consists of a stone-built farmhouse probably dating to the 18th or early 19th century with a courtyard plan of agricultural buildings of mid to late 19th century date. None of the buildings are listed although the house forms part of the architectural streetscape within the locality and is close to a number of other listed buildings. The agricultural buildings are typical of those found within the region from this period. The key significance of the buildings lies in their spatial and functional relationship to each other and their development and uses over time, as well as their historic fabric. The report and archive will be deposited under Event Number ENN110493
