Title | 'Barn 3', Old Manor Farm, Hulcote, Northamptonshire. Historic Building Recording and Archaeological Observation. |
Author/Originator | Cathy Coutts, Jade Franklin-Kennedy |
Date/Year | 2019 |
Abstract/Summary
The building was constructed as a three-bay cart shed with stairs leading to a granary above. Historic mapping shows that it was constructed in the third quarter of the 19th century and is likely to be contemporary with other farm buildings in the vicinity, one of which has a date plaque of 1862. The farm was part of the estate of Sir Thomas Fermor-Hesketh of Easton Neston. A watching brief was also carried out on groundworks associated with the conversion. However no significant features were recorded
