Abstract/Summary

MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology) was commissioned to conduct a geophysical survey on c1.1ha of land of Stowe Road, Preston Capes, Northamptonshire. The survey detected several features of potential archaeological interest, comprising a series of irregular ditches and pits of uncertain date. However, these lay at the edge of the survey area and were largely outside the footprint of the proposed development. The remnants of a 13th-century deer park boundary were also present. Other detected features included the remains of a 19th-century barn, field boundaries and drains.
