Title Plot 2, Land at Murcott, Long Buckby Road, Long Buckby, Northamptonshire: An Archaeological Watching Brief
Author/Originator
Date/Year 2024

Abstract/Summary

A probable medieval ditch was recorded together with a post-medieval ditch. A stone lined drain and an undated pit were also recorded. The large medieval ditch may have formed a corner of a field or enclosure with a large undated ditch recorded in a watching brief on Plot 1 which was located to the west. These likely pre-dated the surveyed earthworks forming part of the shrunken Medieval settlement of Murcott.
