Abstract/Summary

A number of archaeological trial trenches were excavated by Northampton Development Corporation's Archaeological Unit (NDCAU) Between November 1979 and April 1980 within a large area of land (c1.5ha) behind the former Notre Dame Convent and further features were recoded in October 1980 as part of a watching brief during the digging of trial holes for a subsequent development.
