| Title | GEOPHYSICAL SURVEY REPORT: Land at Needles Hall Farm, Brackley Hatch, Brackley, Northamptonshire |
| Author/Originator | Thomas Cockcroft |
| Date/Year | 2025 |
Abstract/Summary
A magnetometer survey of 10.4 hectares of land at Needles Hall Farm, Brackley Hatch, Brackley has recorded magnetic responses that have been interpreted as being of archaeological interest. A complex of magnetic responses, including a tentative small kiln or oven, is visible in the east of Area 1 and probably marks the site of a farmstead or small settlement. A separate magnetically weak sub-rectangular enclosure has been detected in the east of Area 4. Other weak responses across the survey could mark the location of other further ditches. Anomalies of uncertain origin have probably been caused by natural or agricultural processes. Former field boundaries, ploughing and natural anomalies have also been detected.
