Abstract/Summary
This assessment outlines the findings of an archaeological excavation undertaken by Witham Archaeology on land west of Bedford Road, Little Houghton, Northamptonshire. The excavation was commissioned by Francis Jackson Homes Ltd in response to a condition attached to planning permission granted by Northamptonshire County Council following evaluation through geophysical survey and archaeological trial trenching, thereby identifying activity of archaeological significance. The following is a summary of the findings of that excavation. This summary will synthesize the basic stratigraphic sequence and present an initial narrative, together with individual assessments of the finds and environmental data.
