Abstract/Summary

A building survey was carried out in March and April of 2019 at Davy's Lodge, Morborne Road, Warmington, Peterborough, PE8 6UP. The barn complex, of three distinct blocks, was surveyed in March 2017 by Dr Paul Stamper, of Paul Stamper Heritage, who produced a report on analysis of its buildings and assessment of significance as part of the initial planning proposal. The main agglomeration of buildings contained, formed within a terraced set of barns, what has been termed as, an estate workers cottage. 3 distinct phases of development, from barn to dwelling, could be seen within the remaining elevations, starting at the barn’s inception in the 18th century and ending in the late 20th century.
