Abstract/Summary

Desk top survey and trial excavation was carried out ahead of proposed developments at Scott Bader, Wollaston, Northamptonshire. Examination of historic maps suggest that the area was situated within the village core. Four trial trenches were excavated within the application area. They revealed sparse medieval and post medieval activity to the north of the original manor house, but no evidence of Saxon settlement.
