Abstract/Summary

A watching brief undertaken during the excavation of foundation footings for a new dwelling on land adjacent to The Hawthorns in Clopton, Northamptonshire (NGR: TL 0624 8037). Two 18th-19th century cobble surfaces were recorded in the south of the development area. A small complex of features including a layer, ditch and post hole was recorded in the north-east corner of the development.
