Abstract/Summary

An intensive archaeological watching brief was carried out between September and November 1998 on land along the River Nene at Geldharts, Northampton. The watching brief found remains of recent timber revetments probably designed to prevent erosion and divert water into the mill stream channel. Further down the Nene, the widening and cleaning out of the stream exposed part of the remains of the former old Kingsthorpe north mill.
