Title Life on A Medieval Backstreet: Archaeological Excavations at Swan Street, Northampton
Author/Originator
Date/Year 1994

Abstract/Summary

Excavations at Swan Street, in 1989 demonstrated the change of use of an area of land within a minor street within the Medieval walled town of Northampton. Such marginal sites are valuable in that they often prove to be more sensitive to the ebb and flow of a town's economic fortunes than the more intensively occupied stret frontages.
