Abstract/Summary

Evidence was discovered of a Roman field system and medieval and perhaps Roman quarrying. Slight traces of a stone building were recovered. In the later Middle Ages a large part of the site was levelled with a dump of clay and stone. Subsequent use of the site seems to have been confined to garden and agricultural activities.
