Abstract/Summary

The writer of this report was asked by letter, dated 22nd February 1993, from Northamptonshire County Council Planning and Transportation Department, to assess the archaeological significance of a proposed development in Towcester town centre and the eastern envelope enclosed by the river Tove, and to comment on the Assessment and Evaluation carried out by the Cotswold Archaeological Trust Ltd and the Mitigation Stratgey compiled by Professor Timothy Darvill.
