Abstract/Summary

Archaeological evalution on part of the former Northampton High School for Girls' site to the east of Albion Place, Northampton, was undertaken in order to establish whether any remains of an important medieval property, The Grange, and its associated main building, The tower, were present. No remains were found and the area was found to have been extensively affected by medieval quarrying and post-medieval terracing.
