Abstract/Summary

An archaeological evaluation of three areas along the pipeline route suspected to contain surviving archaeological deposits was undertaken in January 1997. A small number of undated archaeological features were revealed within Field 6 on the south western side of the A5 and a substantial amount of deposits of dates likely to range from the Iron Age to the Roman period were revealed within Field 6 adjacent to Redmoor Copse. No archaeological deposits were found in Field 12 to the south.
