Abstract/Summary

An archaeological evaluation comprising of a geophysical survey, metal detecting survey and subsequent trial trenching was carried out by Northamptonshire Archaeology on arable land off Glapthorn Road, Oundle, Northamptonshire (NGR TL 033 890). The results of the survey indicated the presence of the remains of a small Roman farmstead and associated paddocks or fields. The trial trenching confirmed the presence of ditches, pits, post-holes and a possible aisled building, but no indications of industrial activity.
