Abstract/Summary

In 1949 a medieval pottery kiln was excavated at Potterspury, Northamptonshire, which had long been recognised as a centre of pottery industry in the middle ages. A small oval shape kiln was excavated; the pottery produced here was predominatly of a fine sandy tempered, in the form of jugs, pans and cooking pots.
