Abstract/Summary

An archaeological evaluation, carried out for Anglian Water Services Ltd in advance of the renewal of an existing water main along sections of the B4525 Adstone Road and the Preston Capes to Canons Ashby Road, has located the precise alignment of the existing pipe and indicated that no significant archaeological deposits in the road verge would be affected by the work. Earthworks in the road verge to the south-west of Canons Ashby House were surveyed as part of the same evaluation scheme.
