Description
In June 2011 a strip map and sample excavation was undertaken at land adjacent to 8 Church Lane, Deanshanger, Northamptonshire. The work was carried out in advance of construction of a detached house. Constant machine supervision of the site revealed a limestone stone foundation, probably a field boundary that originated from the SE edge of the site, on a north- south alignment. Dating evidence suggested a Post Medieval or Modern date. Further modern finds were found in the topsoil, and no more archaeological features were observed. Information from OASIS Online Form.
