Abstract/Summary

In June 2011 ASC carried out a strip, map and sample excavation at land adjacent to 8 Church Lane, Deanshanger. The work was carried out in advance of construction of a detached house. Constant machine supervision of the site revealed a limestone stone foundation, probably a field boundary that originated from the south east edge of the site, on a north - south alignment. Dating evidence suggested a post medieval or modern date. Further modern finds were found in the topsoil, and no more archaeological features were observed.
