Description

{1} In 1966 a trench was excavated across the county to carry a large diameter gas pipe. Over 20 miles of its length (from Pytchley via Wellingborough to Northampton) were observed and archaeological features cut by it recorded. At Wellingborough, Roman ditches and the corner of a limestone wall were observed.
