Please read our guidance about the use of Northamptonshire Historic Environment Record data.
Summary
Fieldwalking survey has identified a significant quantity of pottery in the area and construction of a pipeline identified the corner of a probable building. Geophysical survey undertaken in 2012 identified a complex of rectilinear enclosures and associated features, likely representing a small Romano-British settlement.

Full Description
{1} Geophysical survey identified a concentration of anomalies in the west of the survey area. A series of ditches aligned north-east to south-west and north-west to south-east, possibly describing rectilinear enclosures. Their southern extent has been obscured by a strong signal from a modern service pipe. To the north and east of the enclosures are further linear ditches which may form the boundaries to either trackways or field systems.
