Description
{1} Six evaluation trenches were excavated on land associated with the former railway club at Broad Green, Wellingborough. Several postholes in the north-western corner of the site have been dated to the medieval period. At the north-eastern corner of the site two parallel ditches mark a short surviving alignment of the former course of Outlaw Lane. Otherwise, there was considerable disturbance from 19th century quarrying and terracing associated with the construction and growth of a villa, later the railway club buildings, in the 19th - late 20th century.
