Description

MOLA Northampton was commissioned by Persimmon Homes Midland to carry out a programme of archaeological observation, investigation, recording and analysis on land at Ashton Road, Roade, Northamptonshire in prior to the proposed development of the site. In July 2015, a large undated enclosure ditch and five pits dated to the 1st / 2nd century AD and the truncated remnant furrows of medieval ridge and furrow cultivation were exposed beneath the car park to the east of Ashton Road.
