Description

{1} The strip, map and sample investigation found a pit alignment of probable prehistoric date, comprising six pits set on a north-east to south-west alignment. A series of four ditches, all but one of which were set on a predominantly north-west to south-east alignment. A single sherd of medieval pottery dating from between mid 11th to 14th centuries, along with a quantity of animal bone, was recovered from one of the ditches.
