Full Description

{1} Five ditches were recorded, four of which were aligned on a predominantly north-west to south-east alignment with the fourth aligned north-east south-west across the north-west corner of the investigation area. A single unabraded sherd of South West Oxfordshire Ware fabric 363 belonging to a jar or similar vessel, dating from the mid 11th to 14th centuries was recovered from the fill of one of the ditches.

The alignment on which the ditches lay appears to correspond with the present day land boundaries and it is probable that they represent a series of re-cuts of a single boundary.
