Description

{1} A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 3.8 hectares of arable land. The survey has identified a number of enclosures and pits relating to a prehistoric or Romano-British settlement. Ridge and furrow cultivation, and a former field boundary provide evidence of a mostly agricultural past since the medieval period. A number of possible archaeological anomalies have also been identified, however it is not possible to determine their origin with any degree of confidence. The remaining anomalies are natural or modern, relating to ferrous objects and fencing.
