Description

{1} An earth resistance and GPR survey took place on a narrow strip of open ground on the eastern side of St Andrew's Road. It provided a transect across the inner bailey, north gate and barbican of Northampton Castle. While the resistance survey did not identify any significant features, the GPR survey identified several wall foundations, most of which are likely to be medieval in date.
