Description

{1} Fifty trenches were excavated on arable farmland to the north of Rushden. Iron Age features identified as cropmarks and verified by geophysical survey were tageted. Further archaeological features, consisting of a few ditches and a pit, were encountered in the far eastern part of the evaluation area. There were a few sherds of Roman pottery
