Description

{1} Archaeological observation undertaken during the construction of a single dwelling site. A number of features were exposed, including boundary ditches, pits and postholes. Two fragments of Anglo-Saxon antler comb and several iron artefacts were recovered from the ditch fills. Possibly part of a known Iron Age settlement which was abandoned during the Roman period and re-used during the Saxon period
