Description
{1} MOLA were commissioned to undertake further trial trench excavation ahead of Phase 1b of the A43 Moulton Spinney bypass, on land between the roundabouts at Overstone Road and Spinney Hill. Thirty trenches were excavated. Archaeological features were encountered within six of the 30 trenches, including a number of Iron Age ditches, an undated well adjacent to two small stone drains and a probable Saxon sunken-featured building.
