Description

{1} Four test pits measuring c1.2m by 2.0m were excavated to facilitate the passing through of an underground service by means of drilling. Two pits were located in the landscaped park to the south of Cottesbrooke Hall (TP1–2), one at The Grange, close to Main Street (TP3), and one at the hall itself (TP4). The stratigraphy within the pits was observed, but no archaeological features or artefacts were uncovered
